hello!
my name is maret (pronounced "muh-ray")
I grew up in Sacramento swimming in the American River, playing little league soccer, and climbing any tree with a bottom branch I could reach. As the former "City of Trees", Sacramento had a lot. And almost every morning since I was two, I ate a big bowl of oatmeal.
As I grew older, I became more aware of daily stomach aches and chronic abdominal discomfort, but only in the past few years did I realize I didn't have to live that way. No one should have to.
I started trying to figure out what was going on, and through trial and error, I found that my body was sensitive to common foods in everyday meals. I had to rebuild my lifestyle around food, and one thing I learned very quickly was that it's very hard to find quick, nutritious meals while out and about.
Thus The Oat Bar was born and is here for those who want a healthy meal on-the-go with whole grains, whole fruits, seeds, and nuts. It's my contribution to make this world healthier, happier, and more sustainable.
